A bright winter awaits at Glenelg’s Marina Pier with the return of the popular family-friendly event Umbrella Lights across June to September.
The light installation’s 2024 season has been switched on for a third year and will be joined by some great retail and hospitality offers, enticing people to Adelaide’s beautiful coastline in the cooler months.
The Umbrella Lights display features 14 umbrella-shaped light displays with cool white lighting for the frame and glowing blue lights that fill in as colour. There were only seven umbrella-shaped light displays along the pier walkway in its first year in 2021, but that has now doubled.
Backed by cloudless sunsets with strong hues on a clear winter’s day, the ‘Umbrella Lights’ make for a perfect setting to enjoy Marina Pier in a quieter time of year. Families are encouraged to enjoy the free installation and continue to taste Marina Pier at any of the family-friendly establishments.
The installation is active from June and runs until Tuesday 3 September 2024.
